| dc.description | The way of doing journalism in these times has been a subject of great importance in society due to the advent and growth of web platforms. Web 2.0 was the great evolution, identified as a social web, which allows the exchange of information through blogs and web pages, then web 3.0 or so-called semantics, whose most important characteristic is the way in which access to the information, where searchers are key in the search for much simpler and more natural information. And ultimately, Web 4.0, a breakthrough that works much more agile and intelligent, predictive, offers solutions to everyday situations. This article addresses the issue of digital sources in the journalistic exercise, analyzes the impact of social media and its media impact on information processes, for news writing. It is based on the analysis of the publications related to the violent incidents in the province of Esmeraldas, Ecuador, where explosions, attacks, kidnappings and assassinations were recorded, all attributed to dissident groups of the FARC and their relationship with drug trafficking. It was based on the information of the 'social media' compared to offline publications of two print media: Expreso and El Telégrafo, to perform the analysis of the influence of content between one and the other. | dc.description.abstract | La forma de hacer periodismo en estos tiempos ha sido un tema de gran importancia en la sociedad debido al advenimiento y auge de las plataformas web. La web 2.0 fue la gran evolución, identificada como web social, que admite el intercambio de información a través de blogs y páginas web, seguidamente surge la web 3.0 o denominada semántica, cuya característica más importante es la forma en la que se accede a la información, donde los buscadores son clave en la búsqueda de información mucho más sencilla y natural. Y en última instancia, la Web 4.0, gran avance que funciona mucho más ágil e inteligente, predictiva, ofrece soluciones a las situaciones cotidianas. El presente artículo aborda el tema de las fuentes digitales en el ejercicio periodístico, analiza el impacto de la social media y su incidencia mediática en los procesos de información, para la redacción de noticias. Se sustenta en el análisis de las publicaciones en torno a los hechos violentos suscitados en la provincia de Esmeraldas, Ecuador, donde se registraron explosiones, atentados, secuestros y asesinatos, todos atribuidos a grupos disidentes de las FARC y su relación con el narcotráfico. Se tomó como base la información de los ‘social media’ frente a las publicaciones offline de dos medios impresos: Expreso y El Telégrafo, para realizar el análisis de la influencia de contenidos entre uno y otro.
